I second that. also, I'm a late convert to the Swirlies and missed their show. why did I not get into shoegaze when it was first happening? (there is no good answer to this question!) my old roommates were obsessed with the Swirlies back when I was still getting into the early NY punk, so I never really gave them a chance until recently. However, one of my favorite things about them is how much they sound like the early-period Lilys, who I was (and still am) really into!
Well, if I had to introduce myself much like the B52s did in their "Song for a Future Generation", I'd say "Hi I'm Matt and I'm a Taurus. I like latkes, Patsy's Pizza and The Big Takeover."
Definitely appropriate.

"Octomom" is on my list of words that I hope to never hear used again (though inevitably it will be).
